Horizon Community Funds Postpones Two Upcoming Events

NKY Philanthropy Symposium, Give Where You Live giving circle will convene in June

Covington, KY – Horizon Community Funds and its committees for two upcoming events have been closely monitoring developments related to health protocols and government declarations for COVID-19. In order to help prevent the spread of the virus in Northern Kentucky and to maintain the health of its attendees, the 2020 NKY Philanthropy Symposium, originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, and Give Where You Live NKY, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 19, will now both be held in June.

The 2020 NKY Philanthropy Symposium will take place on Thursday, June 4 from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Training & Education Center in Erlanger. Content and programming will remain the same, and the 2020 Horizon Nonprofit Award presentations will be held during the luncheon portion of the event. Tickets are on sale now at http://bit.ly/2020-NKY-Philanthropy-Symposium.

The first quarter of Give Where You Live NKY for 2020 is the second event to be cancelled for next week. The giving circle will instead double the grant prize at their second quarterly meeting, scheduled Thursday, June 18 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at The Globe in Covington. Membership for this giving circle is ongoing, and can be registered at www.nkygives.org.

“Horizon Community Funds and these committees have determined that these decisions reflect the most responsible action to take at this time,” said Horizon Community Funds President Nancy Grayson. “We are tremendously grateful for everyone’s support and flexibility as we move forward with rescheduling these events.”
